Terms & Conditions

1. Program Participation

By applying to and participating in Cause Y Not programs, you agree to follow all program rules, guidelines, and instructions provided by our staff. Program participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally at all times.

2. Attendance & Commitment

Program participants commit to:

• Regular and punctual attendance at all scheduled program meetings
• Active participation in program activities
• Completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities
• Professional communication with mentors and team members

Failure to meet these commitments may result in suspension or removal from the program.

3. Code of Conduct

All participants agree to uphold the following standards:

• Treat all participants, staff, and mentors with respect and dignity
• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind
• Maintain a safe and positive program environment
• Follow all health and safety protocols
• Comply with all laws and regulations

4. Liability Waiver

Participants and their parents/guardians acknowledge that program activities may involve physical, mental, or emotional exertion and may carry inherent risks. Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with program participation and agree to release Cause Y Not, its staff, mentors, and partners from liability for injuries or damages resulting from program participation, except in cases of gross negligence.

5. Medical Information

Participants are required to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect program participation. This information helps us ensure your safety and provide appropriate support. All medical information is kept confidential.

6. Intellectual Property

Cause Y Not respects the intellectual property rights of all participants. Projects and ideas developed through our programs remain the property of the youth leaders who created them. With your permission, we may document and share project outcomes for program evaluation and impact reporting purposes.

7. Photography & Media

Cause Y Not may document program activities through photography and video. Participation in program activities constitutes consent to photography and videography. Participants may opt out of having their image used in promotional materials by notifying staff in writing.

8. Honorarium & Financial Terms

Program participants may receive honorariums for their participation and leadership. Honorariums are:

• Contingent on successful program completion
• Provided upon submission of required documentation
• Subject to applicable tax requirements
• Non-transferable

9. Program Changes

Cause Y Not reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel programs due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, health emergencies, or other events beyond our control. Participants will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.

10. Termination of Participation

Cause Y Not may terminate a participant's program involvement if they violate the Code of Conduct, fail to maintain required attendance, or engage in behavior that is unsafe or disruptive. Participants may withdraw from programs at any time by notifying our staff.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from program participation will be addressed through our formal complaint procedure. Participants or parents may contact our office at info@causeynot.com to initiate the resolution process.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued participation in our programs following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
